WOW!
What a day yesterday was. We had pancake breakfast at church. Then we had a patriotic service.
And then we had the church BBQ at our house and had a fantabulous time. Here are a few of the pics.More can be found on L&Fs facebook page here: facebook.com I haven't uploaded pics from my camera yet so even more are coming.

And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You. Psalm 9:10
Yesterday was the Fourth of July, Independence day. As part of our worship service we sang the National Anthem. Before the service I was talking to our praise team leader Don and I asked what we were singing and he told me the Star Spangled Banner-both verses . I must have made some sort of a face because he asked me if I was familiar with the second verse. I said no and he showed me the words. Wow!
I read them and wondered if this verse would even be allowed to be sung in our prayerless schools. I wonder what would happen if we sung the second verse every time we sang the first in this country.
What am I talking about? Here is the second verse of our National Anthem. Read it slowly please and ponder what is happening to this country of ours. [My highlights]
O thus be it ever, when free men shall stand
Between their loved homes and the war’s desolation
Blest with victory and peace, may the heaven rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust!”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave,
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave
