This is the story of a Pharaoh part 1

It's Wednesday, November 14th and its early afternoon. I'm with Stacy at Broward County Animal Care n Adoption Center. She's gonna pull a couple puppies and adopt them out through Milo's Rescue. We're looking at every cage. A cute lil catahoula mixed dog catches her eye. I walk past her and turn to the opposite row of cages. I see a shepherd mix, light in color and super cute. I look into the next cage. There are 3 puppies in this one. One has dark ears standing straight up. He has a black snout. The black actually goes all the way to right past his eyes. He is light colored with black on the back of his front legs as well. This dog is strikingly beautiful. He actually looks like he might even be a pure bred puppy. His paperwork says his name is Archie and he is a 6month old shepherd mix. He was an owner surrender. Somebody adopted him and returned him. They said he wasn't friendly.

I stuck my hand in the cage. He licked me. He seemed to melt. The other dogs tried getting to my hand for attention. He backed away slightly. I let the others lick my hand, then called Archie forward. His face lit up. He nuzzled my hand n nipped at me. He was a puppy alright, just not 6 months old. Archie tore my heart open. I told Stacy to look at him. I said his paperwork says he isn't friendly but he is very friendly. He's shy and he's scared and I wouldn't doubt if he was abused in some fashion. Stacy said we needed to keep looking but to grab his paperwork. I did.

We continued through the compound. Dogs and puppies and cats and kittens everywhere. So eager for love. So hungry for attention. So desperate for a forever home. Normally, I can't focus. Normally, I have tears in my eyes. Normally, my heart is heavy. This day however, it's almost as if I have tunnel vision. I have to save Archie. I just have to. The thoughts racing through my head are a confused mess. I talk to my friend Tim and seek his advice. He is a straight shooter like me and basically says the same thing, I have to save him. I approach Stacy, "I'll foster him. He needs out. They'll kill him Stacy." She agrees to look into the situation.

We grab the paperwork on 2 other puppies and go to the front desk. She starts filling out what is needed. Star can come home right away. The 3rd needs surgery so she places a hold on her. Archie she wants to do a temperment test with. I take his paperwork back to his cage. Again my heart breaks. I call David. I tell him about Archie and say I wanna foster him. He agrees. We leave to go pick up Stacy's daughter and come right back and do the test. Stacy and her lil girl go look at the puppy on hold while I wait in the play area with Star. Archie is brought out to us. He and Star bond right away. He is playful. I approach him. He's terrified but doesn't attack. Stacy and her lil girl return. Archie is playful but fearful. Lexi falls in love with him. She wants him to stay the night. He will.

Stacy does his paperwork and we go outside. He and Star play again. I lead him away so they can go potty. He pees on my foot lol. Stacy says "That's it, he's yours. He marked you" I laughed and secretly hoped she was right. I already love this puppy and know I need to put in a lot of work with him to get him to trust people. He doesn't even act like a puppy but I'll explain that later. Stacy picks him up to put him in the car with me and he stiffens. The staff had said he growled at them when they picked him up. How I wish I could know his story! In the car ride home he is terrified. I can see it in his face. He doesn't move for the entire 25min ride. I pet him n talk softly to him. I am determined to show this puppy love.

We get to Stacy's house n she proceeds to feed the pups. Star is super aggressive and Archie is terrified. He wants to eat but Star is bullying him and he's too afraid to stand up for himself. He backs away when I try to feed him. He doesn't wag his tail. He doesn't even lift his tail. He cowers away from me. I eventually go home and Stacy keeps me updated. He is so obedient. He never messes in the house. He plays with Star but is scared of humans. I will pick him up the next morning and Pharaoh (Archie) will begin his new journey....

"Suck It"

HaHa "suck it", when said how I'm saying it in my head it makes ya laugh. When we were headed to Atlanta Kristin said that. I can't remember why or what it was in regards to but I about peed my pants. Just the tone she used made me crack up. Of course she, Christine n myself kept saying it to each other the whole trip. And speaking of Atlanta, I am now down  12 pounds since then. And before you healthy freaks scream n holler, believe me, I got it to lose it that fast. I keep myself moving as much as possible. I'm trying to workout monday-friday. Some days I succeed... others I don't. But I'm doing more than just moving. I have..sniff sniff.... I have eliminated my favorite coffee creamer from my diet. Oh the horror! I know!!! But in all truth, who really needs peppermint mocha creamer in their coffee...daily.... ME!!!!

Ok deep breath. Milk n sugar is working fine. And someday I'm sure I'll eliminate the milk and then I will deprive myself of the sweet sugar. I'll be one of those crazy people who only take their coffee black. But I'll be healthier! And thinner! Just don't dare say coffee has to go. I will fight you to the grave. ;)

So tonight I pulled out an old recipe. I used to make this chicken ring all the damn time. The fam loves it! Anyone I have ever made it for loves it. Thank you Pampered Chef lol.

Here's what I use as I make mine different. (this feeds 6)
2 cups of mayo
2 tbs of dijon mustard
2 tbs of parsley
8 oz block of extra sharp cheese (shredded in the magic bullet)
5 cloves of garlic, 1 bell pepper, ½ of an onion (chopped in the tupperware chop n prep chef)
3 celery stalks (chopped up)
2.5 lbs of cooked n cubed chicken (steamed in the tupperware smartsteamer)
4 packages of crescent rolls
3 roma tomatoes

Mix all the ingredients except the tomatoes n crescents

unfold the crescents onto a pampered chef baking stone as such
the wide end on the stone n the point hanging over it

using the pampered chef scooper slop that yummy mix onto those crescents

now here it may get tricky. you lift n tuck...not like that pervos ;)
ok seriously lift the pointy end up and kinda tuck it under the wide end of its neighbor crescent
then garnish with sliced roma tomatoes
and if you have extra like I always do just throw them in the center.
bake that bad boy in the oven for about 20minutes on 375° and let it cool some before ya dive in cuz ohhh boy it will burn ya! Enjoy!!

What a morning....

I did my mile this morning!! I walked with the gals on the dvd Walking Away The Pounds. They make you do other crap like knee lifts n kicks n arm exercises. It's insanity I swear. Who in their right mind does these things? Oh yeah...healthy people. That's gonna be me!!!!

I also did my calls. I committed myself to not be afraid of my phone because it will become my bestie in this new relationship I'm developing called my business.(run on sentence anyone ;) It's always cute to hear the customers surprise that I not only called but thanked them. We were challenged at conference to commit to a 2+2+2 calling schedule and I'm gonna do it!!

Then I went to the grocery store. Well one of them. Can I just say, what the hell...seriously! Why in the world is food so expensive? Come on people. You eat it then, um expel it. One of these days I'm gonna start my own garden. That will at least cut back on some of the cost and the food will be better too. Please don't take offense oh so highly outrageously priced grocers....

Well I gotta go get a perrty like. Walgreens has bottled water on sale 24 for $2!!!! Then I gotta hit the critter store n get food for my zoo. Make it a great day ya'll

WOWSERS!!!!!

So, June 17th I had my very first show or party or demo, whatever ya wanna call it. I was scared. I was nervous. And I just knew I was gonna look-a-fool. But know what, it was good. My hostess has been one of my dearest n fiercely loyal friends for about 6 years. She was hesitant  about having a party but she did it anyway to support me. And she jump started my business. Her show was a lil over $200 and 1 booking. If you know anything about direct sales, you know that altho the show amount is important, it's the bookings that are the life line of your business. Because without them....where do you go?! So I was beyond thrilled with my friend's willingness to allow me to share my business with her friends.

Fast forward to last night, August 14th. Last night was the booking. This sweet, funny gal had quickly become a dear to me. Older lady with a heart of gold and a disposition that puts me to shame. I wanna adopt her as grandma for my boys!! Anyway, she was so cute. She was worried her show would just bomb. "I only have 6 people coming" "No one will book a show". That girl had 14 women crowd into her little living room! Her friends invited friends. She had people calling her Tuesday morning "I forgot to rsvp and I'm bring 2 people with me". It was amazing. I was a complete wreck! I wasn't prepared at all though I had been studying non stop since I returned from National Conference in Atlanta. But I went with my gut and I followed my heart. I did my presentation and focused on what I love most about my business. The charity.

The games were a hoot. The demo was ok. But the fellowship was intense. I am not a deeply religious person. I have been so abused spiritually that I'm still trying to sort it all out in my head. But I do know that I was among some true Christian ladies last night. And I thoroughly enjoyed myself. So much so that what should have been a 2 hour night from start to finish was over 5 hours! I just didn't want to leave. WOW! Who can say that about their job?!

And for those of you wondering, the party was just over $500. She received 1 confirmed booking and 2 more maybes. She is getting $90 in FREE product. She was able to get 2 items at HALF OFF.  And if you're wondering what I got out of the night aside from laughs and tears and endless joy, I made 25% of what I sold. Consultants with Thirty-One Gifts do NOT pay for hostess rewards. AMAZING!!! And because there was an incentive through the company, I will also be getting $150 in FREE products from the brand new fall catalog.

So I'm gonna close because I have to go celebrate with my friend and upline, (she did over $1000 already this month!!!!) If you're reading this and you're looking for a fun night out with your girlfriends or you're looking for some extra play money or you're looking to quick your full time job and do your own business, then please consider Thirty-One Gifts. I've been involved in a few direct sales companies before and none even come close to overall pleasure n joy I've had with Thirty-One! Feel free to call, text, email or hit me up on facebook. My contact info is on the upper left side of this blog. Have an awesome day!!

So I went to Atlanta for national conference with Thirty-One Gifts and whoa! It was fun. It was informative. It was amazing! Over 16,000 women mostly from the upper east coast. This company is growing by leaps n bounds! I'm so thankful to have the opportunity to be in so early. I expect great things for my business which will lead to great things for my family. I've made some really bad choices and I've always blamed it on everyone else. Bottom line is, my choices are mine n mine alone. And yeah, I've had a lot of adversity thrust upon me. I've had a lot of people take advantage of me from a very young age to a grown adult. And I've used that as a crutch in my life. No more. Darren Hardy said it in a way I finally understood. It's time to use my adversity as a stepping stone. It's time that I take charge of my life. It's time that I focus on what I want and go after it. It's time I turn all the hurt n pain n hate into powerful weapons and grow. It's time I quit sleeping in and start working out. It's time, it's my time!

I welcome you to accompany me on my journey. Join me as I improve my health, spend even more time with my boys, and grow my business. I encourage you to challenge me. Ask me if I hid in my house all day or did I meet someone new. Dare me to rise before dawn and take the dogs for a walk. Bet me that I can say no to that oh so yummy peppermint mocha creamer in my coffee. I will be unrecognizable to everyone a year from now. And I would love for you to join me in this adventure.

Well Howdy

It's been a while since I've posted. A long while. Things have been kinda crazed here. But the most recent news is I have joined Thirty-One Gifts as an independent consultant and I'm excited to see where this new venture takes me. When I first heard of 31 over a year ago I admit I was not the least bit interested. Not in the products and for sure not the company as a consultant. Then one of my bestest n dearest friends joined. I of course had to do a show for her. And that was when I started thinking outside the box. I may not be interested in their purses but oh baby. Their totes are phenomenal for organization! That being said, I decided why not see if I can sell the stuff too. My view is different from everyone else and maybe someone will see the vision I saw. If I can help a gal organize her life, then I'm happy. :)

funny funny, thanks Joyce

A guy is driving around the back woods of Montana and he sees a sign in front of a broken down shanty-style house: 'Talking Dog For Sale 'He rings the bell and the owner appears and tells him the dog is in the backyard.

The guy goes into the backyard and sees a nice looking Labrador retriever sitting there.

'You talk?' he asks.

'Yep,' the Lab replies.

After the guy recovers from the shock of hearing a dog talk, he says 'So, what's your story?'

The Lab looks up and says, 'Well, I discovered that I could talk when I was pretty young. I wanted to help the government, so I told the CIA.

In no time at all they had me jetting from country to country, sitting in rooms with spies and world leaders, because no one figured a dog would be eavesdropping.'

'I was one of their most valuable spies for eight years running...

But the jetting around really tired me out, and I knew I wasn't getting any younger so I decided to settle down. I signed up for a job at the airport to do some undercover security, wandering near suspicious characters and listening in. I uncovered some incredible dealings and was awarded a batch of medals.'
'I got married, had a mess of puppies, and now I'm just retired.'

The guy is amazed. He goes back in and asks the owner what he wants for the dog.

'Ten dollars,' the guy says.

'Ten dollars? This dog is amazing! Why on earth are you selling him so cheap?'

'Because he's a Bullshitter . He's never been out of the yard'
