Sooo it's been a while since I've posted so I figured I should get busy. I want to first talk about a blog I set up for my friend Kristi. Back in June her home town was flooded. She and so many others lost what they had. I set up a blog to raise funds for her and her family. Right now she's at $170. It's not a lot. I know this. She knows this. But she is so grateful for every penny. She hopes to be able to replace the sheet rock in her basement with the funds. Next on my mind is abuse in teen facilities. Kristi is actually from the same hellhole I was stuck in for 2 years. Hephzibah House did more damage than good. So many girls....so much hurt. I want to recommend thoroughly researching any "home" you feel you must send your child to. If they don't allow unsupervised calls and visits from the parents, something is seriously wrong there. If they feel the need to control incoming and outgoing mail, ask yourself "why" and then follow your God given brain n common sense and for the love of your child think for yourself! My heart aches right now for children who are suffering at the hands of these monsters. The holidays should be a time of joy and I feel many girls and boys are crying themselves to sleep tonight.
